Rally by “Pro Langenstein” against housing project

Rally by “Pro Langenstein” against housing project

LANGENSTEIN. The rezoning of an area of around four hectares in Langenstein has been met with great criticism by the citizens’ list “Pro Langenstein”. On Sunday, September 8, the citizens’ list held a rally.

“We are not against something being built, but the dimensions are simply too big for Langenstein,” criticized chairman Christoph Schmalzer and Friedl Stütz from “Pro Langenstein” during the on-site inspection with tips at the end of May. A large-scale rezoning could not be in the interests of the Langenstein residents. In addition, such a project requires the appropriate infrastructure and a traffic concept.

Mayor Christian Aufreiter (SPÖ) in a Tips interview at the end of May: “We simply have to create opportunities, currently we have no reasons available. Here we can cover all needs: barrier-free housing, starter apartments for young people and also apartments and houses for families.”
