Wales vs Türkiye: Who will win?

The first matchday of the Nations League season is upon us and it’s a duel between Wales and Turkey. The European Championship went well for the guests, who first survived the preliminary round and eliminated dark horse Austria in the round of 16. They were then eliminated in the quarter-finals against the Netherlands – despite having taken the lead at one point.

Unlike Turkey, Wales did not make it to the 2024 European Championship in Germany. The British qualified for the play-offs, but were eliminated there. In the end, they suffered a bitter defeat on penalties against Robert Lewandowski and Co., who thus went to the European Championship.

The match between Wales and Turkey is from League B, Group 4 of the 2024/25 Nations League. In addition to the two contract partners mentioned, Iceland and Montenegro are also in this group. After the strong European Championship, Turkey is the slight favorite in this group, but should not underestimate any of the other three opponents.
