“The Country Doctor’s Office”, Season 3: Start, episodes and broadcast dates

Since October 2023, “Die Landarztpraxis” has been broadcast weekly on SAT.1The successful early evening series is set in the fictional town of Wiesenkirchen, which is located on the Schliersee in the Bavarian Alps. Single mother Dr. Sarah König returns there with her daughter Leo in the first season to tell Fabian Kroiß that he is the teenager’s father. Over the course of the season, Sarah and Fabian, who is also a doctor, grow closer again.

At the beginning of the second season, Fabian’s sister Isa and his childhood sweetheart Lukas are at the center of the plot. But Sarah and Fabian are also still part of the series – the latter is recovering in season 2 from a serious traffic accident that happened to him at the end of the first season. Isa is standing in for him in the doctor’s office during his rehab.

On August 28, 2024, the last episode of the second season of “Die Landarztpraxis” will air on SAT.1. As of now (August 2024), it is not yet known when season 3 will continue. The content of the new episodes can only be guessed at. Part of the plot will probably revolve around the partnership between Sarah and Fabian, whose relationship has suffered a serious setback due to Fabian’s long-hidden addiction to painkillers. Other storylines could involve Fabian’s still-wife Alexandra, his sister Isa and Leo, his and Sarah’s daughter. The cast for the third season has not yet been announced, with one exception: Caroline Frier aka Dr. Sarah König will be back in season 3 of “Die Landarztpraxis”.

How many episodes are there in season 3 of “The Country Doctor’s Office”?

Season 1 of the German early evening series consisted of 60 episodes, the second season was a bit longer with 80 episodes. Die-hard fans of “Die Landarztpraxis” can rejoice, because the third season of the series will be even longer than its two predecessors with a total of 120 episodes.
