American Airlines has announced a total of five new routes to Europe for the 2025 summer flight schedule. In addition, the airline is also extending various flight connections into the coming summer or increasing frequencies on connections already offered, the airline announced.

A new flight will be available from Chicago-O’Hare to Madrid starting March 30, 2025. The connection will be offered daily with a Boeing 787-8.

Two new connections will follow in May: From May 23, 2025, American will fly from Philadelphia to Edinburgh and to Milan-Malpensa. Both routes will be offered daily with Boeing 787-8s.

A new route from Charlotte to Athens will also be launched on June 5, 2025. A Boeing 777-200 will be used daily.

From the beginning of July 2025, the fifth new route will follow in summer 2025 with a new connection to Rome-Fiumicino. These flights will also be offered daily with a Boeing 777-200.

In addition, American Airlines will extend its service from Miami to Paris-Charles de Gaulle in summer 2025.
