Stabbing in Oxford: Two women arrested in murder case

Tobias Bruce, who lived in Arthray Road, was fatally stabbed in an incident in College Lane, Littlemore, at around 6.05pm on Sunday 25 February.

Previously, 34-year-old Ryan Byrne of Hathaway Green Lane in Stratford-upon-Avon was charged with two counts of first-degree murder and conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm with intent.

George Stephens, 28, of no fixed address, was charged with murder and wounding with intent under Section 18.

Thames Valley Police’s Serious Crime Unit has now made two further arrests in connection with the murder investigation.

Two women, one aged 24 and one 47, both from Stratford-Upon-Avon, were arrested yesterday (Thursday 4 September) on suspicion of aiding and abetting a crime.

Both were released on bail.

Back in May, police announced that an 18-year-old man from Birmingham had been arrested on suspicion of aiding and abetting a crime.

They also said a 33-year-old man from Stratford-upon-Avon was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery.

They were both released on bail and Oxfordshire Police announced in June that both arrested men remained on bail while police investigations continued.

The hearing date has been set for September 30 of this year and is expected to last four weeks.
