Young gangster laughs at Woody’s question about Rich Homie Quan during trial

Young gangster laughs at Woody’s question about Rich Homie Quan during trial

Lil Woody’s role as a key witness in the YSL RICO trial ended yesterday (September 3) when he was called to the stand for the final time.

While on the stand, the prosecution questioned Woody (born Kenneth Copeland) about the relationship between Young Thug and Rich Homie Quan. “Yeah, no, I don’t remember. Did Thug have a problem with Rich Homie Quan bringing members of the If Gang to his apartment?” the prosecution asked. Instead of answering the question, Woody thought it would be a good idea to ask Thug the same question again. “Thug, did you have a problem with Rich Homie…” he asked before being interrupted. This exchange caused the entire courtroom to laugh a few times, Thug included.

Woody had previously admitted to robbing Rich Homie Quan’s father’s barbershop in the Bankhead neighborhood of Atlanta. That clip, of course, went viral because before he made his confession on the witness stand, he turned to the judge and asked, “Your Honor, you said nothing I say can be used against me?” After the judge confirmed that, “Threat and I robbed Rich Homie Quan’s father’s barbershop in Bankhead,” he told prosecutors. “I don’t know what happened with Threat and Rich Homie Quan, but I was driving with my brother and they were arguing and yeah, we stopped and did that.”

Prosecutors had hoped the former YSL member would help them push the RICO charges, but his testimony added more circus to an already tumultuous trial. Prosecutors tried to ask him again if YSL was a gang, to which Woody replied, “And it’s still not a gang.”

Stay tuned here as this case, the longest court case in Georgia history, continues to drag on.
