Simbach’s coach Subasic is looking forward to the match against second-placed Kelheim

Simbach’s coach Subasic is looking forward to the match against second-placed Kelheim

Complicated thing: The two West District League teams from the Rottal-Inn district face tricky tasks on this match day. While TuS Pfarrkirchen, somewhat shaken after three defeats, had to play against the newly promoted Simbach, ASCK Simbach traveled to second-place ATSV Kelheim. Nevertheless, ASCK coach Muhamed Subasic is full of anticipation about the duel between the second and third-placed teams: “I’m looking forward to it.”

FC-DJK Simbach – Pfarrkirchen: “That was a decent performance in Neufraunhofen,” said Pfarrkirchen’s sporting director Josef Burmberger, looking back on the 2:4 defeat in Neufraunhofen last Sunday, “but we made it too easy for the relegated team from the regional league when it came to the goals we conceded.” So the victory was fine for the opponents.” And so, after a strong start to the season, the third defeat in the series followed. “This is certainly also due to the absences that we have had to accept in recent weeks. “Our opponents also have to deal with absences, so complaining is of no use here – we have to try to make the best of it,” said Burmberger.

Now the district town team is heading to the “cauldron of Simbach” where scoring points is not a given. “The opponent has a loud fan base that will try everything to give their team an advantage through the atmosphere,” says the sporting director. “One point is the minimum goal. “If we take all three points home with us, that would of course be ideal,” says Burmberger. Definitely missing: Simon Kirschenheuter, Simon Stehr, Christoph Drobner and Stefan Linhart.

Kelheim – ASCK Simbach: Both teams are doing well at the moment: the hosts have picked up 11 points in the last five games (without defeat), while the guests from the Inn have picked up twelve (with one defeat). “We’re in good form,” says ASCK coach Subasic, who doesn’t want to keep his players on a short leash because of the strength of the opponent. “We play offensively, that’s our strength.” That’s true, because with 25 goals in eight games, ASCK’s strength lies in the “attack” department. And this parade line – there is still a question mark over top striker Adrian Feil (11 goals) – is up against the strongest defense in the league. Goalkeeper Florian Dauerer has only had to reach behind him six times. “And up front they need few opportunities to score. “ATSV is mercilessly exploiting the opponent’s mistakes – we have to play with concentration at the back,” says Subasic. The ex-professional wants to win – as always – and in terms of personnel, things are “not bad.” Besides Leonard Kubitza and Chris Riedl, only Fabian Auer has to miss out. The coach’s conclusion: “Great stadium, beautiful pitch, two strong teams – I’m looking forward to it.”
