Person hospitalized after shooting Thursday morning

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – One person was hospitalized after being shot in Toledo in the early hours of Thursday, according to Toledo Police officials.

Police arrived at the scene near Prouty Avenue and Spencer Street shortly before 1:00 a.m. Thursday morning, but officers found the victim about a mile away.

Police confirmed the victim was a man and that he was taken to the hospital alive but in unknown condition. They say the victim was the driver of an SUV.

According to their own statements, the officers found over 20 cartridge cases at the crime scene.
