BYD: At the start at Automechanika 2024

The Chinese manufacturer of electric vehicles and batteries BYD is taking part in this year’s Automechanika. The trade fair for the automotive aftermarket and repair industry will take place from September 10 to 14 in Frankfurt am Main. With its product range, the premium brand Denza and innovative technology, BYD will raise awareness of the shift towards electromobility.

Since its market entry in Germany, BYD has launched six fully electric models: the SUV Atto 3, the compact five-door Dolphin, the sedan Seal, the SUV Seal U, the luxury sedan Han and the luxury SUV Tang. In addition to the fully electric Seal U, the plug-in hybrid version Seal U DM-i has also been available to German customers since the beginning of September.

The Seal U DM-i celebrates its official German premiere at Automechanika. It is suitable for customers who travel long distances every day and in regions where the charging infrastructure for electric vehicles is not yet sufficiently developed. At the same time, it offers an environmentally friendly mobility solution for everyone who values sustainability. Depending on the version, the plug-in hybrid achieves a purely electric range of 70 to 125 kilometers.

With the presence of the Bao 5 and Denza D9 models, the Chinese want to underline their technological expertise and their broad high-end brand portfolio. In the Agora outdoor area of Automechanika, BYD offers visitors the opportunity to test the entire model range directly on site at the exhibition center.
