OnePlus is known to be working on the flagship Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro. Recent leaks claimed that the flagships could launch between October and December and could rival other OEMs’ flagships. After leaking the design and specs of the OnePlus Ace 5 Pro, informant DigitalChatStation is back with more specs of the OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro.

OnePlus Ace 5, Ace 5 Pro hardware details announced

  • According to DCS, the OnePlus Ace 5 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, while the Pro variant will feature the more powerful, yet-to-be-announced Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.
  • For reference, the OnePlus Ace 3 features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, while the Ace 3 Pro features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.
  • OnePlus flagships are expected to come with a high-density silicon battery with a capacity of over 6000mAh. Previous leaks suggest that the OnePlus Ace 5 will have a 6,200mAh cell with 100W fast charging support.

  • The OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro are expected to feature a customized BOE X2 1.5K 8T LTPO display with flat edges and narrow bezels on all four models.
  • DCS says the OnePlus phones will feature a right-angled metal mid-frame, which should make them quite durable. A previous leak from DCS said the Ace 5 Pro will have a ceramic or glass back.
  • As for the cameras, the OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro are expected to feature 50MP triple cameras. However, there will be no periscope lens, which should be present on the flagship OnePlus 13.
  • Finally, the flagships are expected to feature an ultra-thin optical fingerprint sensor for security reasons.

Since the OnePlus Ace 3 was launched globally as the OnePlus 12R, there is a possibility that the OnePlus Ace 5 will be rebranded as the OnePlus 13R in global markets, including India. The OnePlus Ace 5 Pro could be exclusive to China. Rumors suggest that the OnePlus Ace 5 will have a 6.78-inch LTPO 8T display. As a reminder, the OnePlus Ace 3 also has the same screen size.

Since the rumored launch schedule is still several weeks to months away, there could be many more details to come, so stay tuned.
