Krispy Kreme celebrates Barbie’s 65th birthday with four new, limited-time donut flavors

This year marks Barbie’s 65th birthday, and to celebrate, Krispy Kreme is teaming up with the iconic doll to launch several new doughnut flavors. Krispy Kreme announced Tuesday that it is making “an iconic taste statement” with four sweet treats that are too pretty to eat.

“We’re excited to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the Barbie brand with a collaboration that’s full of fun and flavor,” said Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme’s global chief brand officer, in the announcement. “We’re bringing Barbie’s iconic fashion to life through delicious doughnuts that will delight Barbie and Krispy Kreme fans alike.”

There’s the Barbie Pink Doughnut, which Krispy Kreme says is “inspired by Barbie’s iconic pink and popism.” The doughnut features an Original Glazed base topped with piped pink buttercream, glittery pink sugar and edible Barbie sunglasses. The Malibu Dream Party Doughnut is “inspired by the fun and fashion of the Barbie DreamHouse” and features an Original Glazed base filled with Cake Batter Kreme, dipped in Malibu blue icing and glittery graham sand and topped off with a Barbie DreamHouse candy.

Other flavors include the Barbie Berries ‘n Kreme Doughnut, which Krispy Kreme says is “as sweet as Barbie herself,” and the Barbie Sweet 65th Doughnut, which is dipped in chocolate frosting and topped with Barbie Sweet 65th sprinkles.
