Start of professional life for Bauer apprentices in Schrobenhausen

Start of professional life for Bauer apprentices in Schrobenhausen

From drilling machines to group work: a varied program was scheduled for the new trainees on their first three days at Bauer in Schrobenhausen, the company announced. 38 young employees will start their professional lives there on September 2nd – according to Bauer with a mixture of excitement and anticipation. A new apprenticeship was also filled.

For the first time, there are four apprentices as agricultural and construction machinery mechatronics engineers. Overall, almost all apprenticeship positions are filled at the start of the training.

The first few days of the new trainees were a three-day, action-packed program, according to the company. The event kicked off at the Scherneck Castle high ropes course. There, the new trainees were able to make their first contacts and overcome hurdles together through climbing, group tasks and getting-to-know-you games.

The next day, informational presentations are scheduled in Schrobenhausen. Afterwards, the new arrivals visited the factory in Aresing. As every year, a special highlight awaited the trainees there: on the company’s own training grounds, they were allowed to get behind the wheel and try out the drilling equipment for themselves. It was an unforgettable experience that thrilled everyone.

Rules of conduct for everyday work

The third day consisted of further lectures, a factory tour in Edelshausen and group work. In small teams, the trainees develop common rules of conduct for everyday work. They take the ten most important of these rules with them as a reminder for later use.

The program for the new trainees relies on modern and interactive formats, says Bauer. The focus is therefore on exchange and practical experience. “The trainees always like group work best,” says training manager Gerhard Piske, “it gives them new opportunities to contribute their own ideas.” Group work is also ideal for getting to know each other, he says. It is important that the new trainees feel welcome from the start – and that has been achieved. From Thursday, the trainees will then start in their respective departments.
