Mobile version on the way? Insider wants to know more

Years ago it was reported that Bungie was working on a mobile title in the “Destiny” universe. An insider now wants to know more about the alleged game.

As early as 2022, rumors emerged that Bungie developers were working on a Mobile game in the “Destiny” universe would work on. A title is said to be being developed in collaboration with NetEase that will complement the series.

At the time, it was said that the mobile “Destiny” had been in development since 2020, but with the history of “Destiny 2” Nothing to do with it. Now journalist and insider Jeff Grubb has spoken out about the possible mobile game and not only wants to know the name, but also wants to know about the gameplay.

Insiders will know the name and possible changes

On the social media platform Threads, Grubb revealed some details about the possible mobile spin-off in the “Destiny” universe. First of all, the title would actually exist, but not many developers at Bungie are said to be working on it.

However, the game, which will be called “Destiny Rising,” could be announced soon, Grubb said.



Users asked the journalist about the genre and gameplay. Jeff Grubb replied that it was a “Destiny” for mobile systems, but with a lot of changes. There will supposedly be hero characters instead of players creating their own character.

Fans are not enthusiastic

The latest rumors from Jeff Grubb are currently being discussed in the “Destiny 2 Leaks” subreddit, among others. The possible changes compared to “Destiny” are particularly not well received.
