Crimson Desert: Story – What is the RPG about?

In Crimson Desert, you take on the role of the mercenary Kliff, who is fighting to reclaim his lost homeland in the world of Pywel. You travel and recruit allies to help you.

Pearl Abyss says on the official Crimson Desert website:

An epic written in blood. Accompany mercenaries as they fight for survival in the harsh lands of Pywel.

The King of Demeniss, the unifier of the lands, lies in a long, deep sleep. Those who once suffered under his iron rule are now trying to exploit this imbalance of power and take advantage of his weakness. Those he oppressed are seeking their independence, but some also dream of their own absolute rule..

Crimson Desert: Gameplay – What can I expect?

Crimson Desert offers an open-world experience in the medieval fantasy world Pywel explore, complete quests, solve puzzles, fight against various enemies and tough bosses. There is also Parkour gameplay on you. You can, for example, climb along walls or trees, which is reminiscent of Assassin’s Creed.

The game combines intense combat with plenty of non-combat activities. For example, you can:

• fishing
• Taming horses
• Playing the flute
• Arm wrestling
• …and most importantly: pet cats and dogs!

The combat system is supposed to be tactically demanding and based on the boss fights in the Souls games. It is crucial to observe the movement patterns of the enemies closely, to dodge skillfully and to wait for the right moment to attack. You have a wide range of weapons at your disposal, from swords and axes to pistols and mini-cannons. You can also give your weapons special properties through alchemy.
