The decision not to compete in the 2024 Junior Bowl will not be a good one for the Berlin Adler. According to § 25 No. 5 and in conjunction with § 146 of the 2024 Federal Game Regulations, the responsible league chairman had to impose a fine of 2,000 euros. Money that could certainly have been better invested in their own youth work if the simple art of mediation had been applied to the capital city team.

As already written, the Berlin Adlers’ GFL Junior license will be revoked. The GFL-J U20 team will therefore no longer be able to participate in league and friendly matches in accordance with § 36 BSO (validity of the game license). According to § 25 BSO (penalty re-evaluation of games), all Berlin Adler U20 games will be scored 36:0 in favor of the opposing team.
