CHRIS EUBANK JR was taken over the distance by TV presenter Ed Balls after a bizarre challenge on Good Morning Britain.

Eubank, son of the brilliant Chris Sr., was on the daytime show to talk about his return fight on October 12 in Saudi Arabia.

But first he had to beat the former politician Balls with body blows for 20 seconds.

Eubank seemed to hold back his punches while Balls winced in pain but miraculously heard the final bell.

The son of a legend has not boxed since his revenge victory against 35-year-old Liam Smith last September.

Until his next fight against Poland’s Kamil Szeremeta (34) in Riyadh, he will not be in the ring for over a year.

Eubank said: “This is a very important fight for me to get back into the swing of things. I’m 34 years old and I’ll be 35 next month, no, this month in September.”

“So this is kind of the last chapter of my last three or four years in the business.

“I have to make a statement. I have to go out there and perform and win these big fights every time because these are my last fights. What people will remember me for.”

Eubank has been linked with a mega fight against 34-year-old Canelo Alvarez and a rematch against 35-year-old Billy Joe Saunders.

However, when asked if he could beat Szeremeta, he replied: “Absolutely. He is a tough opponent from Poland. He is the perfect guy for someone who has been out of the ring for a year and is now coming back.”

“He’s a tough guy, he’s got a great record, I think he has 24 wins and two losses. Yeah, I’m excited.”
