September 9, 2024 marks the 10th anniversary of the unveiling of the Apple Watch by CEO Tim Cook. With Apple’s upcoming iPhone 16 event coinciding with this significant milestone, rumors surrounding the new Apple Watch are now heating up. The rumors range from design adjustments to material changes.

Larger displays and thinner housing

According to experienced leaker Majin Bu, the Apple Watch 10 could have a slightly larger display. The two model variants are said to grow by one millimeter each to 42 and 46 millimeters. At the same time, it is rumored that Apple could make the case a little slimmer.

There are conflicting statements regarding the display shape, even from Majin Bu himself. While he initially spoke of a flat display similar to the Apple Watch Ultra, he now hinted that Apple will stick with the slightly curved display.

Another aspect mentioned by the leaker is the possible revision of the speaker. However, details of the planned improvements are not yet known. It remains to be seen whether this modification will actually be implemented and what impact it could have on the sound quality and volume.

Titanium instead of stainless steel?

One of the most interesting rumors concerns the material used. According to rumors, Apple could completely remove the stainless steel version of the Watch from the range. Instead, a version made of titanium will be introduced – a material that was previously reserved for the Apple Watch Ultra. This change would not only reduce the weight of the watch, but also increase its resistance.

In keeping with the possible change in material, there is also speculation about a new edition of the popular Milanese bracelet. After ten years, it could be revised for the first time and also made of titanium. This would create a harmonious unity between the watch and the bracelet and underline the quality of the overall product.
