Scotland vs Australia: 11 players in 1st T20

Ahead of their five-match ODI series against England, the Australian cricket team will take a detour today (September 4) to take on Scotland in a three-match T20 International series. All three matches in the series will be played at the Grange Cricket Club in Edinburgh. The first match of the series will be only the second time Australia and Scotland have met in the shortest format of the game, as their last and only encounter was during the 2024 T20 World Cup.

Australia will field an inexperienced bowling line-up as Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood are rested for the three-match series. However, they will need experienced batsmen led by captain Mitchell Marsh. In the meantime, all eyes will be on Jake Fraser-McGurk, who failed to get a place in Australia’s T20 World Cup squad.

On the other hand, Richie Berrington will lead the Scottish team, with all-rounders Brandon McMullen and Michael Leask available for selection.
