Concord: Shortly after the start, the end is already sealed

That was quick: Shortly after the flop launch, the end of the hero shooter Concord is already sealed. Early buyers will receive refunds!

The Concord beta didn’t bode well for the hero shooter and wasn’t exactly a crowd puller. What followed was a flop that was predictable, as it is said that only around 25,000 copies were sold directly at the game’s launch – worldwide. On Steam, it wasn’t even enough for 700 players at the same time at peak times.

So it’s no wonder that Sony is now quickly pulling the emergency brake. It has now been announced that Concord will be taken offline and discontinued on September 6th – just 11 days after the actual release. The end of the hero shooter is thus sealed again, despite all post-launch plans.

Players who bought the title despite the bad omens will be compensated by Sony and receive refunds – on both PS5 and PC.

In a statement about the discontinuation of the game, the makers first thanked everyone for the feedback since the launch and all gamers who had accompanied Concord on its (short) journey. It must be recognized that various aspects of the game simply did not turn out as intended and expected. Therefore, the game will be taken offline again on September 6th. The game is also no longer available for purchase.

With Concord, Sony wants to enter the hotly contested hero shooter genre. We’ll show you why you should check out the title on Playstation 5 or PC.
