Is titanium replacing the stainless steel version? › iphone-ticker.de

It will be less than a week before we see not only the new iPhone models but also what Apple will improve on the Apple Watch. The Apple Watch is celebrating an anniversary, and this year we will see the Apple Watch Series 10 – at one point there was even talk that Apple would use this round number as an opportunity to name it Apple Watch X.

More exciting than the name, however, are the innovations associated with the new version, and so far, things have been surprisingly quiet here. Either Apple has nothing big planned, or they are keeping it secret very well. There are various rumors, but it all sounds very speculative.

This impression was also reflected in the statements of Twitter/X user Majin Bu, who has very good connections to Apple’s production partners. This morning he announced that he expected the Apple Watch 10 to have a flat screen comparable to the Apple Watch Ultra. A few hours later he then announced that the watch would retain the slightly curved display in the next generation.

Flat display, or not?

However, this change of opinion is also justified, because regardless of his own expectations, Bu has published a list of the changes expected by his sources.

The fact that the Apple Watch 10 will be a little bigger has been under discussion for some time. At 42 and 46 millimeters, the two models are each set to be one millimeter bigger. The watch case is also set to be a little thinner and the speaker redesigned.

The statements about the choice of material are also interesting. Apple is reportedly removing the stainless steel version from the range and instead offering a titanium version for the standard model. In keeping with this, the Milanese bracelet is also set to be revised for the first time ten years after its introduction and is also set to be made from titanium.
