Janus Henderson survey shows: Growing political disunity in the US is the biggest concern for investors over the next decade Page 1

Janus Henderson Investors today published the results of its Investor Survey 2024: Insights for a better futurewhich show that uncertainty related to the upcoming presidential election, the economic backdrop and the interest rate environment is causing some investors to reduce portfolio risk. Notably, only 42% of investors surveyed are very satisfied with their current financial situation – compared to 48% a year ago – and two in three (67%) believe that the cost of living is rising faster than their income.

“At times like these, all investors should remember that making changes to a portfolio designed to avoid short-term volatility can often jeopardize long-term goals,” said Matt Sommer, head of the Specialist Consulting Group at Janus Henderson Investors. “The news cycle moves at incredible speed and the headlines can be unsettling, but U.S. equities have shown remarkable resilience in the face of heightened uncertainty.”
