Let’s go on! After a summer break, the second part of the fifth season (since April 16) of the successful crime comedy series “Mord mit Aussicht” started today, Tuesday (September 3). The remaining six episodes – with one exception – will be broadcast daily at prime time from 8:15 p.m. It starts with episode eight, “Run Marie,” the basic idea of ​​which is reminiscent of film classics such as the US comedy “Groundhog Day” (1993) with Bill Murray, 73, and Andie MacDowell, 66, and the action thriller “Run Lola Run” (1998) with Franka Potente, 50, in the title role.

Inspector Marie Gabler (Katharina Wackernagel, 45) wakes up from a nightmare in which her on-off lover Gisbert Cremer (Kai Schumann, 48) is dead. However, the reality this morning is different: her ex-husband’s divorce papers have arrived. In addition, her police colleagues Heino Fuß (Sebastian Schwarz, 40) and Jennifer Dickel (Eva Bühnen, 28) insist on the obligatory shooting training.

And although things are currently rather discordant between Marie and Gisbert, she finally wants her to confess her love. When Marie hesitates, Gisbert storms off, hurt, and a terrible accident happens…

Has the bad dream from last night become reality? Marie gets caught up in a whirlpool of the same old thing and has to find a way out of the time loop.

Successful new beginning after a break of several years

In the first three seasons of “Mord mit Aussicht” (2008-2014), the police inspector Sophie Haas (Caroline Peters, 52) and her local police colleagues Dietmar Schäffer (Bjarne Mädel, 56) and Bärbel Schmied (Meike Droste, 44) worked against their will in a fictional idyllic Eifel village to solve the murder cases in Hengasch.

After an eight-year break from filming, the broadcaster dared to make a fresh start: In spring 2022, Das Erste broadcast the first new season (series season four) with a completely new team. But this team – consisting of the Cologne detective Marie Gabler (Wackernagel), who also reluctantly has to investigate in the provincial town, as well as the two village police officers Heino Fuß (Schwarz) and Jennifer Dickel (Bühnen) – was also able to inspire the viewers.
