It should be THE ultimate start to the season!

The Green Bay Packers and the Philadelphia Eagles will start their season on Friday night. Not in Philadelphia, but 7,700 kilometers south, in Sao Paulo. But the trip to Brazil caused more fear than joy.

“I don’t want to go to Brazil”

It is the first NFL game in South America. The Eagles will travel to Brazil on Wednesday on a ten-hour flight – to the dismay of many fans, the Eagles’ home game will not take place at Lincoln Financial Field. At least the time difference between the zones is only one hour. But it’s not just the fans who aren’t in the mood for the game…

Eagles cornerback Darius Slay reveals in his own podcast: “I don’t want to go to Brazil. They told us not to leave the hotel. We can’t do much there because the crime rate is so high. Why is the NFL sending us to this kind of environment?”

In the 36-minute talk, Slay said that he would leave his family at home out of fear. He also only wants to eat in his hotel room. The defensive back also only wants to leave the room when he is going to the stadium. The Eagles have already announced that they will leave immediately after the game and take the next flight.

Brown continued: “For example, we are not supposed to walk down the street with our cell phone in our hand. That’s crazy.”
