Draper will now face De Minaur, the world number ten, who has already dispatched a Briton on his way to the last eight by defeating Dan Evans.

This US Open quarterfinal will take place on Wednesday, September 4th.

It takes place at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, New York.

Draper vs. De Minaur: What was said?

After reaching the quarterfinals of the US Open, Draper revealed how he had to recover from serious injury problems.

“I’ve had to deal with a lot of injuries over the last few years and there were times when I maybe wanted to quit playing tennis,” he told Sky Sports.

“I remember these moments again and again. These moments make new experiences easier for me.

“I really believe in myself. I have learned a lot about my abilities and I have great people around me who support me and show me the way.”

He continued: “I feel great. To reach my first quarter-final absolutely means the world to me. I still feel like I can improve.”
