In their youth, Max Eberl and Natascha Fruscella were lovers for a short time. A few years ago, their paths crossed again – and Cupid’s arrow struck again. Now the sports manager and the TV presenter are married.

They were together briefly as teenagers, now they are a married couple: football managers Max Eberl and the TV presenter Natascha Fruscella got married. “We did it. We’ve come full circle,” the 49-year-old announced on Instagram. She posted a photo of the couple with a body of water in the background.

According to information from the “Bild” newspaper, the couple celebrated in a small group in a luxury restaurant on Lake Tegernsee. The sports director of FC Bayern Munich is said to have a residence just a few kilometers away in Rottach-Egern. According to the report, the 50-year-old used the restaurant area in the afternoon to go swimming in the lake with some guests. Afterwards, the wedding party played football tennis while a DJ played music.

Fruscella is Eberl’s childhood sweetheart. The two were briefly a couple at the age of 14, but then went their separate ways. They found each other again at the end of 2022. In a “Bild” podcast at the beginning of last year, the former professional footballer said: “I met my childhood sweetheart again after 35 years. Life does take its turns, which make you extremely happy and glad.”

It is Eberl’s second marriage. He was married to his ex-wife Simone for 21 years; their separation was announced in 2019. He then entered into a brief liaison with the then team manager of Borussia Mönchengladbach, Sedrina Schaller. Eberl has been Bayern’s sporting director since March. Before that, he was managing director of sport at RB Leipzig. However, his career as a manager began at Borussia Mönchengladbach, where he worked from 2005 to 2022.
