Are you interested in weather data and weather maps? Then Ventusky (App Store link) is the perfect app for you. Here you can display your weather events in detail and use various filters to display things like snow cover, precipitation, temperatures, wind, waves, humidity and more.

Since September 2022, Ventusky has been using a subscription model to be able to use all functions. According to the App Store, 9.99 euros per year are due. Existing customers who have paid for the app once can use all functions without a subscription. Ventusky requires at least iOS/iPadOS 12.0 or newer to install on the iPhone or iPad, and watchOS 10.0 or newer on the Apple Watch. The approximately 71 MB application is also available entirely in German.

As the Ventusky development team from Pilsen, Czech Republic, has now announced, version 37.0 and the subsequent bug fix updates to versions 37.0.1 and 37.0.2 have been released in the App Store. Apple Watch users in particular will benefit from the latest update.

With the latest update, Ventusky increases the convenience of the Apple Watch app even further. The most important addition is the display of the radar map, one of the most popular layers of the mobile app. This map provides an instant overview of precipitation in the area. Unlike forecast models, the radar shows the current situation live, making it a reliable means of predicting approaching rain or snow.

Over 40,000 webcams can also be used on the Apple Watch

Another equally important feature is the display of webcams. Ventusky has integrated an extensive network of over 40,000 cameras into the app, which has now been integrated into the Apple Watch app as well. Users can now easily and instantly view real-time images from different locations around the world. This feature is particularly useful for checking current conditions such as fog, snow or clear skies without having to switch to other devices.

In addition, new notification functions have been implemented with version 37.x, such as new alarms for waves, freezing rain and changes in air pressure. Split screen support has also been implemented for the iPad, which is now available in v37.x. The update is now available to all app users for free download in the German App Store. App Store users give the Ventusky app an average of 4.7 stars.
