The Black Ops 6 beta is live – at least in Early Access! Players can now play the shooter’s multiplayer. Here you can find everything you need to know.

Update, 02.09.2024, 10 a.m.: How long will the Early Access Beta in BO6 last? You still have until September 4th. The server should go offline on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

But don’t worry, the Black Ops 6 open beta will start for everyone on September 6th.

The BO6 beta is available on PS5 and asks you to download multiplayer files. However, the update is 0 MB in size. You can solve the problem very easily:

To fix the error, you need to change the console language to “English (United Kingdom)” or “English (United States)” and restart the game. You should also set the language in the game itself to English – you can do this using the settings gear on the right under “Interface”.

Update, 30.08.2024, 21:20: In the meantime, the login problems have improved somewhat. Call of Duty has officially announced that it has activated more servers – the demand for the beta is huge. But there are still serious problems in the Black Ops 6 lobbies.

The matchmaking on the first weekend of Early Access is particularly catastrophic. In addition, player levels, emblems and clan tags do not seem to match due to server overload. As a workaround, you should log out and log back in, CoD says on Twitter:

First report from August 30, 2024: Hamburg – Today is finally the day: The beta of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has started. Whether PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S or PC – the beta is available on all platforms at the same time. But who can play and when does the free open beta start?

  • Early access: The first phase of the beta starts today, August 30th, at 7 p.m. (10 a.m. PT / 1 a.m. ET) and runs through September 4th. This phase is only available to players who have pre-ordered Black Ops 6 or have an Xbox Game Pass subscription.
  • Open Beta: The BO6 Open Beta will open to all players on PC, PlayStation and Xbox starting September 6th at 7 p.m. This phase ended on September 9th. There are some new features in the second week of the beta.

BO 6 Beta: Preload, download and participate for free

  • Preload: The preload of the beta started on August 28th. Start the download quickly.
  • Pre-order: Anyone who pre-ordered Black Ops 6 is automatically eligible for Early Access.
  • Xbox Game Pass: Even with an active Xbox Game Pass (Ultimate, PC or Core) you can now get started without codes or registrations.
  • : The size of the beta can vary depending on the platform. Everything from 15 GB to 80 GB is included. If you already have the CoD Hub installed, you can save a few gigabytes.

Exclusive Black Ops 6 Beta Rewards

  • Awards: Anyone who reaches the maximum level of 30 in the beta (only from week 2) can look forward to nine exclusive items. These include a special weapon blueprint, emblems and an exclusive operator skin.
  • Bonus at level 20: A special highlight is the “Squish” operator skin, which you can only earn on the first weekend:

What can you expect in the beta?

  • Maps and modes: You can try out eight different maps and five game modes in the beta, including classics such as Team Deathmatch and Domination. The maps “Rewind” and “Skyline” have been particularly praised by early testers and could become cult maps. The Gunfight mode will be added from the second week of the beta.
  • Level system: Leveling up in the beta is not just a grind, but also brings you exclusive rewards up to level 30. On the first weekend you can level up to level 20, while the second weekend allows you to level 30.
