Who will be active on the transfer market again? Today, September 2nd, is the last day to strengthen your team with players from other clubs or to release professionals from the squad. But how does deadline day actually work in the 3rd division? liga3-online.de answers the most important questions.

What time does the transfer window close for third division teams?

Unlike in the two national leagues, where play ended at 8 p.m. on Friday, the third division teams can be active until 11:59 p.m. – at least in theory. The decisive factor is how long the respective regional associations are available and how long new signings can be reported to them. For example, a club from North Rhine-Westphalia can submit transfers until 8 p.m., while a club from Saxony has until 11 p.m. The decisive factor, however, is that the transfer is reported by 11:59 p.m. at the latest and that the regional association can also accept it. If this has happened, the signing can still be made official after September 2nd.

What about international transfers?

Commitments from abroad must also be requested by the DFB abroad by midnight in the FIFA TMS if the player becomes a contract player and the contract and transfer documents have been submitted to the relevant national association on time – only then can the transfer go ahead.

Are departures abroad still possible?
