Caleb Williams reacts to Kyron Hudson’s insane catch against LSU

The USC Trojans fight against the LSU Tigers on ABC on Sunday night before a national television audience. And Trojans wide receiver Kyron Hudson made one of the plays of the year when he made an insane one-handed catch that involved twisting his body in the air. Hudson’s play was crucial and led to the Trojans’ first point of the game. USC eventually took a 7-0 lead and Hudson’s catch was a key play on that drive. The Trojans’ defense looked impressive early on, making several stops in the first two quarters of the game.

After the Trojans scored, LSU quickly brought the ball back across the field and Garrett Nussmeier connected with Kyren Lacy on a beautiful 19-yard touchdown throw. Both offenses began to improve in the second quarter. USC took a 10-7 lead with 4:21 minutes left in the first half after making a field goal from Michael Lantz. Both quarterbacks played pretty well in the first half, with some pretty accurate throws from Nussmeier and Müller MoosLSU tied the score at 10-10 thanks to a field goal by Damian Ramos with 1:08 minutes left in the first half.

Lantz missed a kick that could have put USC ahead 13-10 at the end of the first half, but it went wide to the right. The score was 10-10 at halftime.

Before Sunday night, Hudson had 34 catches for 345 yards with five touchdowns in his USC career, as well as one tackle and one blocked kick on special teams.
