At least for a few minutes, Toni Kroos (34) is back on the pitch in his own format, the Icon League. The former DFB star talks to RTL about the first few weeks after the end of his career.

Toni Kroos: No great desire for football so far

58 days lie between the bitter quarter-final defeat against Spain at the European Championships at home and his “small comeback”. Toni Kroos is on the pitch in Cologne’s Lanxess Arena in the Icon League he founded. “I was pushed into it a bit, but of course I like doing it,” jokes the 2014 World Champion. You can tell that the midfielder is enjoying his time right now.
