Virginia man wanted for attempting to run over woman with his car in Fredericksburg

According to police, a Virginia man is wanted for attempting to run over a woman with his car in Fredericksburg.

On Thursday, August 29, at approximately 5:15 p.m., Fredericksburg Police received a report that a man attempted to run over a woman in the 400 block of Riverside Drive.

Officials say the driver hit a milestone on the Heritage Trail and therefore did not hit the woman.

The man then left the area in a U-Haul pickup, officials said.

Officers arrived at the scene and during their investigation identified Anthony Pittman Jr. of Stafford as a suspect.

According to authorities, Pittman Jr. is wanted for attempted willful injury, reckless driving and property damage.
