Magdeburg- Early Saturday morning, there was an Magdeburg There was a grievous bodily harm in the city center. The police are looking for witnesses.

At around 4:30 a.m., a 47-year-old man was at the tram stop on Breiten Weg at Hasselbachplatz when he got into an argument with an as yet unknown person.

The exact circumstances of the incident are completely unclear, the Magdeburg police station said. During the altercation, the 47-year-old was punched in the face and hit on the head with a bottle.

He was seriously injured and had to be taken to hospital.

• slim figure
• curly hair
• He wore a necklace with a striking pendant that looked like a medal
