For the next season of the true crime series “Based on a True Story” with Kaley Cuoco in the lead role, there are now not only first pictures, but also some information about the start of the season.

Kaley Cuoco’s true crime obsession will catch up with her again this fall in the second season of “Based on a True Story.” The second season of the Peacock comedy, in which Cuoco and Chris Messina play the leading roles, will premiere in the US on Thursday, November 21. In addition to information about the season, a series of images have also surfaced.

The darkly humorous thriller is about three people from completely different professions: the real estate industry, tennis and plumbing. The trio come together when they are given a unique opportunity to profit from America’s latest fascination, namely the true crime genre.

What happens next in season 2 of “Based on a True Story”?

The second season, consisting of eight episodes, according to the official description, continues the story of Cuoco and Messina’s characters, Ava and Nathan Bartlett, who are now three months into parenthood. Ava returns to her job as a real estate agent, while Nathan thrives as a private tennis instructor. But the good times are short-lived, as a new series of murders draws Ava back into her old vortex. She even begins to suspect that the villain of the first season, Matt (played by Tom Bateman), is the wanted murderer. Ava tried not to jump to conclusions,

The cast includes Kaley Cuoco (“The Flight Attendant,” “The Big Bang Theory”) as Ava Bartlett, Chris Messina (“The Mindy Project”) as Nathan and Tom Bateman (“Thirteen Lives”) as Matt. Also starring: Priscilla Quintana, Liana Liberato, Natalia Dyer, Alex Alomar Akpobome, Aisha Alfa, Annabelle Dexter-Jones and Li Jun Li.
