This is how the third season of “Outer Banks” ended

The third season of the adventure series ends with a flash-forward that jumps 18 months into the future. But the official synopsis makes it clear that there will be flashbacks to what John B. and his friends experienced between the discovery of the El Dolado gold and the assignment to search for Blackbeard’s treasure by Wes Genrette.

Here’s how Netflix describes the new season: The Pogues return to the OBX and try to live a “normal life.” They’ve built themselves a safe haven they call “Poguelandia 2.0,” where they live together and have built a successful bait and charter shop. But after some financial setbacks, John B. (Chase Stokes), Sarah (Madelyn Cline), Kiara (Madison Bailey), JJ (Rudy Pankow), Pope (Jonathan Daviss), and Cleo (Carlacia Grant) accept Wes’ (David Jensen) offer to embark on a new adventure.

Meanwhile, their problems grow and they have to ask themselves questions about the past, present and future. Who are they really? Was it all worth it? And how much are they willing to risk?
