Greifswalder FC recently won two games. However, the chemists suffered their first setback of the current season on the last matchday with their first defeat at Hertha Zehlendorf. The guests got off to a better start. A corner found Strietzel in the middle, who headed the ball in powerfully from a few meters (4th). The guests continued to dominate the proceedings with long periods of possession and an overall confident performance.

The second goal was not long in coming. Schmedemann’s deep pass bypassed the entire Leipzig defense, and Benyamina shot into the bottom right corner for Greifswald’s second goal (22′). A shot from Bunge narrowly missed the visitors’ goal a short time later. Farr missed the chance to decide the game, but was stopped by Bellot (81st minute). In the final minutes, the chemists threw everything forward again, but the equalizer failed to come and the visitors from Greifswald celebrated their third victory in a row.
