Munich/district – The summer intermezzo was actually supposed to end this weekend. But as is the case with the weather, it often changes so much. But what exactly does that mean for southeast Bavaria and the start of the Oktoberfest in Rosenheim?

So now we still have a summer weekend before. But the days after will also be summery, although not entirely clear. Because in the rather warm air mass, from the afternoon hours onwards, Heavy showers and thunderstorms may also developAfter that, a lot is still open, as meteorologist Kai Zorn explains. “(…) There will be big differences in the coming week – between a continuation of the heat and a significant drop in temperature due to cool air and rain.”

In the first week of September, it will probably be summer again. Then we will probably get into a trough that will bring us quite warm temperatures. Until Friday next week, we will remain under what is probably a fairly stable high, an omega position. “That could only change around September 6because some weather models have calculated a cut-off low over southern France. This would pump very warm air masses to us in advance, but the low would also cause larger amounts of rain to be expected,” explained the experts from “WAS! Weather for Old Bavaria and Swabia”.

And in the run-up to this, there is certainly Danger of severe weather due to quite strong thunderstormsWe should keep a close eye on this situation, as it would probably the last major thunderstorm/storm situation of the end of summer.
