Police officers attacked by two men during an operation

Two officers are called to a dispute between several people in Bad Schönborn. The operation ended successfully – and painfully.

Bad Schönborn (dpa/lsw) – Two men are said to have injured two police officers in Bad Schönborn (Karlsruhe district) so badly that the officers had to stop their shift. The police were called on Thursday evening because of a dispute between four family members, a spokesman said. When they wanted to take the personal details of a 32-year-old, a 40-year-old approached the police and behaved aggressively. The officers reportedly pushed the man back with their hands. The 32-year-old and the 40-year-old then hit the officers. With the help of other police officers, they finally managed to arrest the suspects.

It is not yet clear what the family dispute was about. The police officers were treated in hospital. The two accused must now answer for charges including physical assault and resisting law enforcement officers.
