Democrats in Louisville ask Rep. Daniel Grossberg not to comment during investigation

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – The Louisville Democratic Party is calling on Rep. Daniel Grossberg (D-30) to refrain from attending upcoming party events and meetings due to his ongoing harassment investigation.

“Our Executive Committee is steadfast in its commitment to creating a safe and respectful environment for all,” the Louisville Democratic Party said in a statement sent to X on Thursday. “While we understand that the allegations against Rep. Grossberg are merely allegations at this time, we ask that he temporarily refrain from attending LDP events and meetings while the Legislative Ethics Commission’s investigation is ongoing.”

Grossberg, who represents the 30th Congressional District in central Louisville, has been under investigation by the House Ethics Committee since July, when a spate of allegations related to inappropriate text messages to women and improper business dealings came to light.

Following the initial allegations, the Democratic leadership in the House of Representatives suspended Grossberg from the Democratic caucus in the House of Representatives and subsequently excluded him from all of his interim committees.

The Kentucky Young Democrats have also criticized Grossberg. The group publicly called for his resignation on August 1, stating that “several members of our organization have come to us with their own stories detailing Rep. Grossberg’s inappropriate behavior toward them.”

Grossberg has denied all allegations and called them “baseless.”
