Snooki claims the producer of “Jersey Shore” asked the police to arrest her

Nicole Polizzi is now a married mother of three and stars in MTV’s Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. However, most of us met her as Snooki, Jersey Shores a belligerent, but somehow still lovable party meatball.

One of Snooki’s most iconic scenes occurred during the third season in the summer of 2010. She was drunk and jogging down the boardwalk in Seaside Heights, New Jersey, crooning, “WHERE’S THE BEEEACH?!” She was ultimately arrested for disturbing the peace, disorderly conduct and harassment.

Now, 13 years later, she has revealed some secrets behind the scenes of that day. Most notably, she claims that one of the producers ordered the police to arrest her.

Snooki remembered the time before her blurry beach day

In the August 28 episode of the podcast “Therapuss with Jake Shane,” Snooki revealed some unknown details about her infamous drinking binge and arrest.

Snooki recalled her predicament. She says that when she woke up to go to work at the Shore Store that day, she felt a hangover coming on, so she had another drink.

“I woke up that day and I was drinking nonstop. You know when you wake up and you feel the shakes coming? You think, ‘I have to shit, I have to throw up, but I have to be on camera and I have to go. [to] this shift.'”

When she got to work, she had another drink to avoid the “shakes.” Eventually, she decided to just go to the bar.

“So I ran. I just ran to the bar. I drank shots just to feel better and then I just didn’t stop. I felt good and I thought, ‘I’m not going back to work,'” she recalls.

Then she decided she wanted sun and sand. “I knew the beach was right there, but my drunk self was like, ‘How do I get to the beach?’ Because there are only so many entrances to the beach. I couldn’t find them anywhere, so I asked, ‘Where’s the beach? How do I get to the beach?’ And the guy said, ‘Right there,’ and I said, ‘I know, idiot. How do I get to the beach?'”

Snooki: “One of the producers said, ‘Just arrest her'”

Once she was on the beach, the police finally intervened. Although Snooki says she “passed out when the cops handcuffed me,” she later found out they were actually working for the production.

She revealed: “These cops were not on city duty. They were on off-duty shift to make sure they were protecting us from crazy people. I don’t even think it was legal because they weren’t working for the city, but I watched the video again and one of the producers said, ‘Just arrest them.'”

The charges against her were dropped, but she had to pay a $500 fine and complete two days of community service.

What a trip down memory lane with zebra prints and the smell of alcohol! You can’t blame her for not planning on letting her kids see the show.
