UPDATE: Teen killed in Montrose Way shooting – LaGrange Daily News

Troup County Sheriff’s Office and Coroner’s Investigators have confirmed that the victim of the Montrose Way shooting has died.

The victim was identified by the Coroner’s Office as 16-year-old Kyren Johnson, who was shot Wednesday afternoon.

Troup County Sheriff’s Office officials began investigating the shooting incident Wednesday afternoon. The shooting reportedly occurred around 4:22 p.m. at a home in the 100 block of Montrose Way.

The victim was taken to Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center, but the teenager was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

So far, the TCSO is still investigating and neither possible suspects nor the motive for the shooting have been publicly identified.

This is currently still being investigated by the Troup County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division.
