Southern Illinois Men’s Basketball Announces Non-League Schedule

CARBONDALE, Ill. (KFVS) – The roster for the SIU men’s basketball team has now been finalized.

The Southern Illinois men’s basketball team announced its non-league schedule Wednesday afternoon. The schedule includes games from some big schools as well as two showcases, one of which is the previously announced season opener at South Dakota.

Before the Salukis open the regular season at the Field of 68 Showcase, they will host D3 North Park in an exhibition match on Tuesday, October 29th.

In November, the Salukis will play their first home game against Missouri S&T before making road trips to Oklahoma State and Florida. The Salukis have won their last two meetings against Oklahoma State.

After the Salukis travel to Gainesville to face Florida, the team will stay in the Sunshine State to participate in the Gulf Coast Showcase, which takes place just before Thanksgiving.

The Salukis also announced that they will begin their conference season on December 3. The opponent will be announced at a later date.
