Denver Broncos complete practice squad, including experienced tight end released by Chargers

After trimming their roster to 53 players, the Denver Broncos have now restocked their practice squad and brought several players back to the team. However, many players they likely wanted to keep on the practice squad were claimed off waivers on Wednesday.

In today’s NFL, most players on the practice squad will see at least some regular season action, making each of these players important to the overall makeup of this team.

The Broncos also made an interesting signing during the game, signing former Los Angeles Chargers tight end Donald Parham to the practice squad. Parham was somewhat surprisingly released by the Chargers after playing there for the past four years, but he brings a 6-foot-8 option that can be a force in the red zone.

Over the course of his career, Parham has caught 67 passes for 764 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Here’s a look at the remaining players signed to the practice squad.

Denver Broncos training squad

Lil’Jordan Humphrey, WR

Tanner McAlister, S

Quinton Newsome, CB

Jordan Miller, DL

Matt Henningsen, DL

Michael Burton, FB

Dondrea Tillman, OLB

Thomas Yassmin, TE

Michael Bandy, WR

Reese Taylor, CB

Nick Gargiulo, G

Tyler Badie, RB

David Sills, WR

This means that the Broncos still have one spot available on their training squad.

ILB Jonas Griffith, perhaps the most surprising of the Broncos’ releases yesterday, is considering his options, including a return to Denver’s practice squad. No decision yet. #9sports
