The blue circles indicate elements

Look at your map as soon as you enter a new area. See all the blue circles? The blue circles mark the locations of valuable treasure chests and moreso make a point to follow them whenever possible.

In fact, Visions of Mana marks all chests on the map for easy reference. But these circles can also refer Fast travel points that you have not yet interacted with, as well as interactions with elemental ships.

The latter is particularly important, as the game is skillfully only adds blue circle markers to interaction points that affect elemental vessels you have already acquired. This means that habit Mark all ships that you do not yet own.

All this means:
Check the maps of previous areas once you have acquired a new ship
. You may actually find even more to do!

Despite all the blue circles and other quality of life mechanics used in Visions of Mana’s many environmental maps, You will sometimes come across high ledges that are unreachableas well as Platforms and pillars that do not have a clear approach.

Sometimes the way forward is simply hidden. Further investigation will get you there. But Look for interaction points with elemental vessels that involve vessels you don’t yet haveas this can often be an indication that you will not be able to get there until later.

We should add that
In regional areas known as ancient ruins, there are blue circles
and for a long time they are just there to frustrate you! You can only get these treasures later, and not just because the enemies are of a much higher level.

Time for your Valorflies and Fortuneflies

The pop-up explanation of the Fortunefly system in Visions of Mana

Valorflies provide useful EXP buffs if you press the corresponding button next to it, but the buffs only last 60 secondsThe same applies to the Lucky flies, Money lover. It is a short window of time in which you can increase the threshold of your rewards.

The thing is, Enemy groups in Visions of Mana can be quite far apart, and it is easy to Inadvertently eliminate any groups that are relatively close to the Valorflies before making contact with them.

Always be on the lookout for these helpful critters. There’s nothing more frustrating than finding a Valorfly but spending most of your minute-long timer trying to find something to kill.

This is obviously system specific, but If you play on PS5, we strongly recommend that you keep Performance Mode. Visions of Mana is still stunningly beautiful in Performance mode. You will miss some finer details, but it’s nothing to worry about.

The game can, at least at the start, even in performance mode sometimes a bit unstable. Nothing untenable, but There were occasional problems. That means, the frame rate is significantly higher overall.

Enabling graphics mode reduces the frame rate in a way that can adversely affect the game’s action-oriented combat systemwhich leads to frustrating problems in more difficult encounters, such as Elementary Eagle’s Nest Experiments. It is best to avoid this hassle altogether.

Side quests can unlock special moves

In Visions of Mana, Careena triggers a cyclone in an Eagle's Nest test area.

Red exclamation marks in cities indicate side questswhich can be initiated by talking to the quest giver. The vast majority of Visions of Mana’s side quests are straightforward and only take a few moments to complete.

Not only will you receive lots of money and other valuables, but Some side quests reward you with new skill seedsThese skill seeds are usually associated with special fighting techniques such as “Healing Light” and “Moon Rift”.

Although there are ultimately other ways to learn many of these techniques, to gain access to them as early as possible by completing side quests as soon as they become available can significantly enhance your party.
