Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Midnight Navy” DZ5485-401 Release Date

It’s been a lean year for the Air Jordan 1 High. After dominating the sneaker world for three to four years, the release frequency of Mike’s first signature model has rapidly slowed down, making way for the Air Jordan 4 instead as it celebrates its 35th anniversary. Nonetheless, there’s still room for the right colorway to strike a chord with audiences, a fate that the Air Jordan 1 “Midnight Navy” is certainly aiming for, and we’ve just received official images ahead of its release.

Flipping the “Chicago” color-blocking scheme, which places an accent hue on white leather panels, the “Midnight Navy” relies on a clean style and the titanic heritage of the Air Jordan 1 in its construction. A black collar, Swoosh, and laces sit between these two staples, while a cream midsole adds a vintage touch to the perimeter. While this is an entirely new colorway, this joins a number of navy Air Jordan 1 releases that feature a similar aesthetic; the OG “Metallic Navy,” which last dropped in 2017, and the CO.JP “Midnight Navy,” which released in 2001 and 2020, are close points of comparison.

The Air Jordan 1 “Midnight Navy” will be released in full family sizing on September 14th – retailing for the men’s version is $180.
