US Open: Abrupt maneuver by referee in Coco Gauff match raises concerns among tennis fans due to past horrors

The US Open has only just begun and there are already problems. Although players want a trouble-free playing experience, sometimes they don’t get it. The same thing happened to title contender Coco Gauff. She came into the tournament as the defending champion and faced German Tatjana Maria in the second round. But after a series of twists and turns, it was not a pleasant experience for her.

In the middle of the first set, the match was temporarily halted. Both players were in the middle of an intense rally when the referee asked them to stop their game for a moment. The two players were confused and could not understand the whole scenario. However, it was only later that it turned out that it was a technical error in the system that eventually halted the match.

However, fans were clearly not happy about the incident and took to social media to vent their frustration. Although Coco managed to win the set, fans did not hold back and blamed the referee and the VAR system for the mishaps.

Amidst the ongoing drama, fans were not at all happy with how their favorite players were faring and vented their anger. One fan spoke up and said that it was always Gauff who had to endure these misfortunes.

Between all the problems with the preparation event and now that it happens to start on set point of this Coco Gauff match…” another fan pointed out while venting his frustration. “VAR manipulated against Coco Gauff”, tweeted the fan.

Last but not least, this fan also took out his frustration on X. “COCO GAUFF PASSES SOME BADGES EVERY TIME SHE PLAYS. I WANT AN INVESTIGATION.” he said, pointing to the system that interrupted and hindered their playing time.
