The hockey schedule includes four games against each of the other six teams in the league. Next season, MSU will play conference games on neutral sites against Wisconsin (Jan. 4 at Wrigley Field) and Michigan (Feb. 8 in the annual “Duel in the D” game).

The Spartans will play each of the other four teams twice at home and twice on the road, with just one home game against Wisconsin (Jan. 2). Michigan is the home team in this year’s Duel in the D. The Spartans will play 16 home games at the Mason Rink at Munn Ice Arena.

MSU has three home games and four road games in the opening month of the season, including nonconference series at Lake Superior State (Friday-Saturday, Oct. 4-5) and at Canisius (Friday-Saturday, Oct. 25-26). MSU opens the 2024-25 home schedule on Friday, Oct. 11 against national runner-up Boston College, hosting the Eagles in a two-game set. Also on the schedule is an exhibition game on Friday, Oct. 18 against Windsor during homecoming weekend.

The Spartans play most of their games at home in November. Two Big Ten series against Ohio State (Nov. 8-9) and Notre Dame (Nov. 15-16) open the B1G slate. MSU travels for a game against the U.S. National Team Development Program on Thursday, Nov. 21, and closes the month with two games against Lindenwood the weekend after Thanksgiving — games against the Lions are Friday, Nov. 29 and Sunday, Dec. 1. The Spartans head to Wisconsin (Dec. 6-7) and Minnesota (Dec. 13-14) for two road games before the Christmas break, then compete in the Great Lakes Invitational at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids on Sunday and Monday, Dec. 29-30. A 10-game January begins with a game against Wisconsin on Thursday, Jan. 2 at Munn Arena, and then the teams head to Chicago for the Frozen Confines game at Wrigley Field on Sunday, Jan. 4.

MSU then follows a two-game set at Penn State (Jan. 10-11) before a home-and-away series against Michigan — Friday, Jan. 17 in Ann Arbor, with the return match at Munn on Saturday, Jan. 18. The Spartans host Minnesota (Jan. 24-25) before traveling to Columbus for a Thursday-Friday series at Ohio State (Jan. 30-31). The final month of the regular season begins with the second game series against Michigan (Feb. 7 at Munn and Feb. 8 at Little Caesars Arena).

MSU has a weekend off before its final two regular season series at home against Penn State (Feb. 21-22) and away at Notre Dame (Feb. 28-March 1). The Big Ten Tournament begins the weekend of March 8-10 with a best-of-three quarterfinal series on campus. The B1G semifinals (March 16) and finals (March 23) round out the tournament.
