Dana White believes Merab Dvalishvili is trolling him

Last week, Dana White called Merab Dvalishvili “completely stupid” for posting a video of a cut above his eye on his Instagram page.

The Georgian will face Sean O’Malley for bantamweight gold on September 14 at the Sphere in Las Vegas (Nevada, USA) and the UFC president could not understand why Dvalishvili revealed these details.

Spurred on by the boss’s words, the challenger decided to go one step further and release another video, this time using a giant pair of scissors to cut the stitches out of his own face.

This time, White took a humorous approach, telling MMA Junkie and other reporters after DWCS 69 that he had a new respect for the fighter.

He giggled, “Isn’t he great? Honestly, I think he’s just messing with me now. Do what you want. Have you ever seen the scissors they use to do stitches? They’re tiny and have that thing so you don’t cut yourself.

“You can put them under the seams and you don’t get cut, and this guy had a pair of damn bush shears that you use to trim your damn bushes that gardeners use. Anyway, good for him.”

While the UFC president has now accepted the situation, Daniel Cormier is still deeply concerned.

The former heavyweight champion believes the wound could burst open the moment O’Malley meets the challenger at UFC 306.

However, Ben Askren doesn’t think this is a particularly big deal, claiming that most cuts aren’t a big deal.

The whole thing led to a heated debate between the two, with “Funky” hurling a vicious insult at “DC.”
