Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Shailene Woodley show off their style in “Killer Heat” pictures

In less than a month, Prime Video will launch its star-studded crime mystery drama Killer heatAmazon MGM Studios gave a first look at the main actors. The film was shot in Greece last year and features the outstanding trio of Joseph Gordon Levitt, Shailene WoodleyAnd Richard Madden They take part in a gritty noir story about the mysterious death of a shipowner, deep and vicious jealousy, and the troubled private investigator who must piece it all together. Gordon-Levitt and Woodley in particular are smartly dressed as they uncover the dark secrets hidden in the exotic beauty of the Mediterranean.

Inspired by Jo Nesbo‘s short story “The Jealous Man”, Killer heatprimarily follows detective and American exile Nick Bali (Gordon-Levitt), who is hired to investigate the accidental death of Leo Vardakis (Madden).. The famous shipping magnate met his end on the island of Crete, but his sister-in-law (Woodley) believes it was anything but an accident, as the police reports claim. It’s up to Nick to uncover the truth by exploring the dark realities that lie just beneath the surface. During his investigation, he discovers the true extent of the Vardakis family’s godlike influence on Greece, and the bitterness that exists both within and around them.

Gordon-Levitt looks like a stylish noir detective in the pictures, sporting a fancy hat and carrying a bag, and will be conducting his investigation with a little help from Woodley. This is not the first time Gordon-Levitt has appeared in the crime genre, as he previously made a notable cameo appearance as the voice of the hourly Dong in Rian Johnson‘S Glass of onion before finally becoming a despicable killer in the director’s Howcatchem series Poker faceBringing everything together is Night of Kings helmet Philippe Lacôtebased on a script by Roberto Bentivegna and revised by BAFTA nominees Matt Charman.

“Killer Heat” marks another collaboration between Madden and Amazon

With Killer heatPrime Video will once again present one of its big stars in Madden. The game of Thrones Alum is also one of the leaders of the high-budget Russo Brothers Spy series citadelwhich is currently gearing up for its second season with a massively expanded star cast. It took almost no time for the title to become one of the streamer’s flagship series, becoming Prime Video’s second most popular series after the first two episodes and spawning the spin-off series Citadel: Diana and the prequel Citadel: Honey Bunny will be released in October and November respectively. Lacôte’s film shows viewers a different side of Madden as a rich and powerful playboy who was the victim of a murder before returning to the high-drama world of espionage in 2025.
