Stefon Diggs ASICS GEL-Nimbus 10.1 Release Date

In just over a week, we’ll have to get used to seeing Stefon Diggs in a new uniform, making miraculous catches and flashy moves in his first season in Houston wearing the Texans’ colors. He didn’t wait for the kickoff to make some flashy moves, though. In the offseason, the first collaboration between him and ASICS was revealed at Paris Fashion Week, a collaboration on the ASICS GEL Nimbus 10.1. Although originally intended as a pair for friends and family, this shoe will actually make its way to the public. An extremely limited launch at KITH Manhattan was just announced, and registrations are open now.

In case you missed our original coverage, the sneaker in question was also our first look at the GEL Nimbus 10.1 model, which combines the upper of 2008’s GEL.Nimbus 10 with the sole of the ever-trendy GEL-Kayano 14. Diggs’ vision is carried out on the shoe with a number of special edition details. He widens the underlying mesh, adds curved grid patterns that run across the entire profile, and adds literal friendship bracelets that attach to the collar and double as a pull tab. “Friends” lettering on the tongue fits that vibe, and a “1/250” emblem on the heel underscores just how special each of these pairs is.

To that end, Diggs and ASICS are using this footwear release for real community involvement. 100% of the proceeds from this release will benefit those in need, primarily in NYC, but also across the US and internationally.
