Deadlock release date, platforms and more details 2024

A game worth waiting for!

If you can’t wait to play Deadlock but don’t know when the game is coming out or other important details, you’ve come to the right place.

Now let’s check the release date and platform of Deadlock and see if the game will be playable on Steam Deck.

Valve’s upcoming title Deadlock is a big hit in the gaming community. The game even exceeded the 90,000 concurrent player mark in closed beta, something many games fail to achieve even with full versions and millions invested in marketing.

For players who still don’t know what Deadlock is, it is a third-person shooter game that combines two of the most popular genres, Hero Shooter and MOBA, into a single package. It features a unique selection of heroes, great map design, and team battles where only one team wins.

At the time of writing, Deadlock is in very early stages of development. An early version of the game is available to playtesters, provided they are from the North America and EU regions. However, as for the full version or a public early access version, Valve has not announced any official details.

The Steam listing page also mentions: “Deadlock is in early development with a lot of temporary graphics and experimental gameplay. Access is currently limited to friend invites via our playtesters.”

Due to these factors and the fact that the game’s development began in 2023, we can expect Deadlock to release in early 2026 or late 2025. We’ll keep a close eye on the game and update this section once we have an official release date.

Currently, Deadlock is only confirmed for PC, but since it’s a Valve game, there’s a 50:50 chance that it will appear on platforms like PlayStation and Xbox.

Will Deadlock be playable on the Steam Deck?

Steam Deck is Valve’s handheld hardware, and given Gabe Newell’s statement “As a gamer, this is a product I’ve always wanted,” Deadlock will undoubtedly be playable on Steam Deck.

That’s all you need to know about Deadlock’s release date and platforms.
